- The auditors, DIT, have the final say in all instances.
- Any attempts by a company or brand to manipulate the voting process may result in votes being disallowed or a company being removed from a category or from the entire voting process.
- Only members of the Irish and Northern Irish media may vote. Only those who produce regular travel content for publication in the public domain are entitled to vote. Travel writers do not need to be full time writers, but must produce regular travel content for publication.
- Voters will be asked and must provide links to their website or their published content. Failure to do so may result in votes being disallowed.
- All platforms are considered as media, online, print, offline, broadcast, blogs, podcasts, videos, vlogs and news websites, as long as they are in the public domain.
- Voters do not need to be full time travel writers or in direct employment of a media organisation. For the purposes of these awards freelancers and bloggers are considered travel writers.
- Commercial sales people in media organisations may not vote.
- Entrants must vote in a minimum of five categories.
